Educational Trip to Paonta Sahib, Dehradun, Rishikesh and Haridwar The Commerce Department of SGHS Khalsa College, led by Prof. Parveen Kaur (HOD), organized an unforgettable educational trip to Dehradun! With support from Prof. Amrinder, Babita, and Simranjeet, simranjeet kaur, the trip was a resounding success. We explored Roberson Cave, marveling at its unique rock formations and learning about its geological history. A visit to the Dehradun Zoo taught us about conservation and biodiversity. We also visited the historic Gurudwara in Paonta Sahib, learning about Sikh history and culture. In Rishikesh, we visited the revered Gurudwara and took in the breathtaking views of the Ganges River, crossing iconic bridges like Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, and Janki Jhula. Additionally, we had the opportunity to visit a renowned forest research institute museum, where we gained insights into cutting-edge research and innovations.

A highly insightful lecture on “Employment Awareness and competing in the Digital Era: Skills for the Future” was conducted today i.e. 2nd April 2025, under the able guidance of college Principal Dr. SukhdevSingh. This Extension lecture focused upon the evolving role of Chartered Accountants, Anchoring , news reader, actuarial society of India course in the age of digital transformation. This lecture highlighted the impact of automation and emerging technologies in all the profession of Chartered Accountancy, Computer , Commerce , Science emphasizing the need for future-ready skills. Prof. Parveen Kaur expertly anchored the event , receiving accolades from the audience and dignitaries alike.”The Lecture began with a warm welcome with motivational words by Dr. Rajinder Singh Department of History, he encouraged participants to embrace technology and continuous learning in their professional journey. She emphasized that adaptability and innovation are the key to success in the ever-changing all sphere of landscape.

The lecture was led by Ram Chandra punia ji , a distinguished Career counsellor state awardee Ram Janta college Charkhi,(Dadri) , who shared his own views on career building. He addressed all the students with many new and various paths after graduation for a better future. He said Career guidance will help students to understand their aptitudes, skills, and interests, boosts confidence, enhances employability through internships and skill-building, and reduces stress associated with career choices. All students and staff members actively participated in this employment awareness program and gathered knowledge about new technical courses. How students can avail other courses benefits , how students can earn money through internship in banks. Etc.

The School of Commerce and Managementand S.G H.S Khalsa College Panjokhra Sahib organized an expert lecture on “SWOT analysis And The johari window ” by Prof. Amrinder singh .The lecture session was held under the kind guidance of Dr. Sukhdev Singh, Principal, Khalsa College, Panjokhra sahib. Dr. Sukhdev Singh appreciated the initiative of PG department of commerce and mentioned that such sessions play a substantial role in today’s education. PROF.Parveen kaur, H.O.D of school of commerce and Management commenced the session by formally welcoming the guest orator. Prof . Simranjeet Kaur commerce deptt., gave an introduction about the activity and Prof. Babita Gambhir introduced the speaker to the audience. The lecture effectively mentioned all the elements in the Johari window by Dr. Beena devi Maharaja Suraj Mal institute Delhi under the affiliation Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University The speaker explained the self awareness in corporate sector with the support of relevant examples from our daily lives. And Dr. Vjinder Narwal , Associate Professor and NCC officer, D.A.V college wonderfully explained about Swot Analysis.The main motive of this activity was to motivate the youth to apply their ideas in the commercial world through the proper channels. Prof. Simarjeet gave a vote of thanks to the guest and the session participants. Around seventy students from commerce department and from various streams Dr. Ram Kumar Saini, dr. Neena Kaushik, Prof Jagjot kaur, Prof. Manisha Mann , DR . Rajinder, Dr. Gursimran kaur , Dr. Ramandeep singh and other faculty members actively participated in the session.
